A personalized photo mousepad that I made for my parents using the
$75 credit for Kodak gallery products that came with the printer that
we bought last year.  I was cramming to create a photo book and this
before the credit expired on 12/31/11.  

How is everyone's new year going so far?  We're a full week into it now, and to be honest, this year started out feeling much more like a burnt out and demoralized fizzle than an energetic bang.  Barely one day into the year, and I already had one of my firsts, submitting a hacking report because I realized that all but 377 of my 43,020,453 mesos was alarmingly GONE from my main maple account.  -_-  My first MMO hacking, woo... Oh well, the only thing that I can do is to try and make things better, right?

But that's not to say that it's all been bad.

Maple Story

I've been waiting so long to game, and as soon as I could, I started tweaking on Maple Story with my friend like CRAZY.  I had heard from someone in my Gaia friend thread that the new Mercedes job class was really awesome, so near the end of December, I patched up after a long time.  Later on, I found out that my Minecraft pal, SpecOpsSR, used to be a hardcore Mapler (he had an amazing Bishop, and, like me, used to be a solo Cleric!  o.o ), so we both created Mercedes characters.... and leveled up LIKE CRAZY in just a few days, no exaggeration!

This new job class?  Completely overpowered and fast (you can blast through maps and shoot up ladders/ropes!).  It's like playing Maple on super easy mode, once you play a Mercedes, it's hard to go back to the regular job classes.  I didn't even need to use a healing pot til level 50-something, and I didn't die til level 60-something.  But there is a dark side to being a Mercedes-  Everyone hates you.  But hey, I'd hate me too if I ran into me on a map.  xD  (But I also really dislike high level Cannoneers...  >.< )

Nexon is going crazzzzzy.  As if all the Mercedes (and the new Cannoneer job class) overpoweredness weren't enough, Nexon has been throwing 1.5x Exp coupons, cake buffs, the Legends teleport space rock, and the Legends coin quests (that you can buy special equips, scrolls, etc, with) at us.  And they apparently went on a banning spree today during the unscheduled maintenance (which kept on getting postponed)to fix a huge exploit of the new monster Familiars, the huge mess with Evan skills and whatnot, lack of Hot time item grants, and illicit items.  Then after the game finalllly comes back up, they unexpectely rescheduled Hot time (that my friend and I missed, of course -__-;;) to just 30 minutes after the server came back up... and gave out scooter mounts.  Ugh.

BUT MY TWO MISSING JOB CLASS QUESTS ARE STILL BROKEN  orz

The other day, a colorful photo of Lego people-shaped soaps caught my eye on the CraftGawker app and made me want to change my plans for my first soap-making venture to be very soon rather than sometime in the distant future.  These would make super cute Christmas stocking stuffers!  They sell the silicone ice cube trays (which mean that you can make ice cubes, bake, make candy, resin, soap) online/in the Lego store, though the Lego brick tray is exclusive to the online store, I hear.

But I also still need to get the clear glycerin soap base as well as the silicone ice cube trays... ugh, why does crafting have to be so expensive?  = x =;

Yesterday, I was made aware of the "long awaited housing update", whose official announcement was today.  For the first time in YEARS, I actually tinkered with my house.  While they interface was indeed more "modern", I couldn't help but feel that the old housing item graphics (like the white dots in between the rug tiles) contrasted too awkwardly with the much more polished new interface.

And even though I thought that the "click to put ___ on ___" was kinda cool, didn't it used to be easier to arrange things in the old system?  Now, you have to click on an item to move, rotate, or put it away, then exit that mode to deal with something else.  Hmm.  Unless they added more things from yesterday (it was a soft launch, after all..), I can't help but feel less than enthused about this update.

I keep on forgetting that I have a Gaia house.  And the paintings are still backwards.

Today, after being reminded of the latest RIG, Guardian Totem, by a friend, I decided to buy one with the Gaia cash that I earned by watching videos.  Even though it was random, I was borderline pleased to get the Rabbit Spirit.  I was considerably less pleased when I got a red dog leash worth around 20k.  >_>

...but damn, using it for the first time made me feel nervous, it kinda reminded me of
those hackers in Maple who just stand in one place and autocollect all the items/mesos  o.o;;

Still sick in bed today (in that annoying stage of the cold where you're starting to feel better but hack and cough like crazy, euuuhhh), so I spent most of the day doing something that I don't normally do a whole lot of on Gaia - socializing in the forums!  And got to talk to people (even though I missed Habib  Dx) on GIM, got a new contact on Pingchat (woooo!), as well as a new friend code in AC: WW~ 

 In the evening, I worked on a Christmas gift for a friend (codename=SPHEAL), then played more Pokemon Black.  Then right before bed, Maple story!  Hopefully, my cold will be lessened more at least somewhat by tomorrow.  x__x

After having gotten more input for my hairstyle choice, I decided to get the Aran hairstyle after all.  Yaaaay, I look so pretty... but for no one besides myself, orz.  Haha, oh well.  Before leaving Kerning, I decided to pick up my first Crusade quest, since I wasn't able to do so on the other continents, and I completed my first two missions.  (It only took around 2-4 hits per boss xD)

                                

YAY, Silent Crusade!  It'll give make Mapling by myself and the road to level 100 less lonely and more interesting.  Next destination:  EL NATH!

Last night, having no one awake/around to talk to online, I went on Maple for a while to get my free Kerning VIP hair salon ticket.  I wanted to get the shark card that I realized that I was missing, but since they took away my buffs, that venture didn't last long.  >_>

 I also finaaaaaaaaalllly got to go to the Golden Temple for the first time, but was disappointed that the highest level monster dungeon was below level 70.  While killing monsters there, though, I got one of those free wheel drops and got a recipe for a luck potion.

After leaving the Golden temple, I made straight for Victoria Island and Kerning City, where I was majorly creeped out by the hairstylists there... man, I hate Kerning city.

Buuuut I didn't get my hair cut yet, since I'm really torn between two hairstyles... Please give me your opinions!

MINECRAFT

Haha, yes, Fly, I know that you advised against it, but I've just been dying to play this game for the longest time with my good friends, so after being informed that Minecraft's official release (and non-beta-stage price!) was soon impending, I caved in and finally bought it, haha!

I've watched a few videos on Youtube on how to get through the first few days in survival mode, but I decided to try and get a hang of the controls and such in creative mode first.  I created a new world, Galicia, and started by trying to build a simple structure by digging into the clearing where I first appeared.

Man, I can't wait to play with all of you Minecraft people!!!  >w<
