Being the anti-social person that I am, the only celebrating for this holiday that I ever do is online-related, and usually on sites or games.  Unfortunately, I was extremely pressed for time this year and couldn't participate in anything much, just got sample tastes of events on Gaia Online, Eden Eternal (which I downloaded again since my boyfriend got caught in an "auto-renew AP" trap), and my two current iPod app addictions, Happy Street and Tiny Farm.  And of course, having fun seeing some of the cool costumes and pumpkin carvings on Pinterest, Brit + Co., and Imgur~

OH MY GOODNESS.  I am so, so, so stoked to have been featured in deviantArt's DELVE webzine, I never even knew that such things existed!  They were kind enough to include my Angry Birds Space amigurumi fanart plush on page 5, their themes were Space and Happiness, and though an unusual combo, the result is an amazzzzing issue!  Check it out~!

So.  Anyone who pays even the slightest bit of attention to my posts on Facebook would be able to tell that I've been addicted to Pinterest.  My boards (especially my DIY and Craft inspiration boards) have grown exponentially since I've joined.  I can't answer texts from even my beloved boyfriend until I've finished scrolling to the bottom of a category (unless the iPod app crashes).  We truly are in the age of DIY and crowdsource sharing!  I love sites like Pinterest because the best of the internet is all in one place, in a visual form that I can skim through, and there's always new things to see! That's how I discovered Brit + Co.

Speaking of nifty blogs, my friend recently showed me a charming one, The Burlap Bag, which inspired me to give my lone avocado seed in my windowsill some friends!  Now I have a very charming lineup, and I change their water every other day.  Here is the progress, the green onions and carrot flourished overnight (though, to be fair, the carrot was already sort of growing when I took it out of the bag)!  I was stunned!

Man, I really miss some people.  But, I'm trying to patiently wait until I do hear from you guys again.  <3 

But at the moment, trying to do my best to get through the days and keep busy, lots and lots of stuff to do!  Having a cold + weather allergies isn't very fun, though...  Makes it hard to be on the computer or do much with my head and body aching so much.  x___x  But who wants to focus on negative stuff?

Woo hoo.  Today, I randomly picked an episode of How It's Made and learned how balloons, wallpaper, frozen french fries, and incandescent light bulbs are made.  What a random assortment of things, haha.
Watching the processes of the various production lines was fascinating, though, especially when watching all the small and delicate glass and wiring being shaped and soldered so quickly and precisely.  

Did you know that balloons began being mass-produced in the 1930s?

Do you know how much I loveeeeeeeeeeee getting things in the mail?  Especially packages??  Especially HUGE boxes??  Especially huge boxes of AWESOME???  ESPECIALLY HUGE BOXES OF AWESOME THAT HAVE A SLOWPOKE AND A CHRISTMAS CARD?!?! * 3 *

was used to pack my slowpoke and card in!!  >w<  (we don't have

Getting a Slowpoke plushie to cuddle with has been one of my dreams, and I finally have one thanks to the hard work of random-kitty15.  She makes some pretty awesome stuff (you should see the detail on her amigurumi Articuno!!, is super duper sweet, and absolutely I love her to bits!!!  <3
