Goodbye, Mr. Sun

Start of November and frequent downpours
As if on cue, the start of November was accompanied by the start of heavy and sudden downpours; coupled with the early setting of the sun and my nocturnal habits, I've hardly seen the sun in the last few days.  However, there's something strange about it being pitch dark outside at only 6:30 PM, it makes the day seem so much longer in an ironic way, so I may start to shifting back to my normal sleeping schedule...

★★★★★★★★★★★★★FOOD  STUFF ★★★★★★★

Anyone may know my regard for mochi anpan.  Or perhaps you don't.  So I'm telling you now- I absolutely LOVE mochi anpan.  Or did, up til now.  For the first time yesterday, I had one that I just didn't enjoy.  Maybe it was because I wasn't feeling all that well, or just that I was unlucky for getting one that only had anko on one side, but not being able to enjoy one of my favorite snacks was a little disheartening.  :,(

★★★★★★★★★★★★★PRP BUSINESS  STUFF ★★★★★★★
With Halloween past and the Christmas ads out, my blood pressure shot up just thinking about all the stuff that I have to do this holiday season.  Today, I did some much-needed cleaning and organization of my supplies and products, and emailed people who I am holding things for.  After that, I did some prep work so I can build up a small inventory of plushies to have on hand to sell, since I won't have time to do so in a short while.  Still have that medium mochi commission to fill out, augh!  Thinking about selling some of my extra stuff on Ebay if they have that listing discount special running still.

TO MY FRIENDS: WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR CHRISTMAS?!? LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT ANYTHING SPECIFIC SO I CAN GET A HEADSTART

-ahem-  that being announced, moving on...

★★★★★★★★★★★★★INTERNET  STUFF ★★★★★★★
BEEZAG

Woo!  My beezag cash came in!
"I earned $11 watching ads!"  :D

-----------------------------------------
SERVICE (or lack thereof)
Ok.  Even though I had my suspicions due to the ever-decreasing quality of my internet service especially as of late (which I didn't really think was possible), I was informed today that the good people at my internet provider company, Hawaii Telcom, are going to go on strike.  If this doesn't convince my parents to switch to Roadrunner (or at least attempt to transfer the phone account holder information so that we CAN switch), nothing will, I suspect.

 Even though the circumstances aren't the same, I'm forcefully reminded of this Penny Arcade strip:

Seriously, how would I be able to tell?!?

PIXIV
On a lighter note, during my periodic perusal of the Japanese site, Pixiv, I noticed the unusual presence of Krillin (and just plain unusuallness) in the daily rankings .  Was it his birthday today?  *googles*  Hmm, yep, I think so!  the November 4th.  Happy birthday!  You got some pretty interesting fanart to celebrate. ... No, wait, "Guririn"?!?  Isn't that the parody Krillin from Gintama?  And he explodes?!?  Poor Krillin.

what is this, I don't even...
he's not even the main subject in this one.
Maybe people are just in a weird mood today.
The Colonel has never looked so kick-@$$
★★★★★★★★★★★★★PURCHASED  STUFF ★★★★★★★
(though my sister technically bought both of them xP )
After 1-2 years of waiting and merely speculating about how awesome it would be, a very heavy box from Amazon came in the mail today- the long awaited ichi Q hachi yon/1Q84!!! (along with Evangelion: You Can [Not] Advance).  Rainy weather + impending dead internet -->  yet another Murakami coma.  And since it's so thick (think Harry-Potter-V.7-thick), I may be comatose for a while.

TIBIA

Early, EARLY yesterday morning (I had been resting earlier that night because I was feeling unwell, but woke up in the middle of the morning due to super stressful dreams), I finally got to meet up with my friend and go on my first adventure on the mainland continent around 5 in the morning !  haha.  No screenies posted today since they're on my laptop (that my sister is desperately trying to finish her now-late essay on), but hopefully, I'll have more to post and write about later~!  .... if not, I'm going to try and get back into maple while I still have internet... my cash shop items expire in December!  Must..... reach... level...100...

Gaming Weekend

"W-w-wait a second lady, we can talk about this instead, right?!?..."

★★★★★★★★★★★★★ ONLINE STUFF ★★★★★★★

Even though I joined Beezag, a site where you earn points for watching ads, a while ago, I haven't been watching ads very actively in the last half year or so.  But today, I finally got enough to cash in $11 worth!  >w<  Even though the screencap says $12, I since had to change it to $11 for some reason... hoping that it'll go through ok!  I'll find out in about a week, according to the site.

★★★★★★★★★★★★★ CRAFTING STUFF ★★★★★★★
On Friday, my 3 resin molds that I ordered from BlueTomatoes' Etsy shop came in, and it came with a freebie since the order total was more than $10.  That brings my mold collection total up to 7.  YAY!~

Now, if only my plastic measuring spoons would decide to show up.  Where are they now?  Just chilling in San Francisco, it seems.  For a WEEK.

Best deal on plastic measuring spoons... if you ever get them!

★★★★★★★★★★★★★ GAMING STUFF ★★★★★★★

Now, to some seasoned MMO players, playing 3 MMOs in 2 days may not seem much.  But for me, who is only playing her 6th or 7th (depends if you consider Gaia's zOMG to be one) MMO, it was quite an experience.  What other MMOs have I played/dabbled in?  Rose Online, Maple Story, Fantasy Earth Zero, Runescape, zOMG, and now Tibia and Eden Eternal.  Of all of these, I've only played Maple Story and zOMG for longer than a few months.

OMFG, I MUST LEVEL UP!  *w*
So!  On to my coverage of Eden Eternal and Tibia.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On Friday, I played Eden Eternal for the first time.  I was only doing so at the behest of my sister, who saw a trailer for it and wanted to ride the alpacas.  I scoffed at this, yet when the patcher (which took a very long time to finish) popped up, my eye was drawn to (read: mesmerized) the ultra cute alpacas on the left.  OMFG fkdsjfljfda.  If I ever get a cute
alpaca plushie like that, I think that I may die of happiness.  I would
have liked to say "my life would be complete," but there's so many
other things that I need before I can even begin to say that.  Haha.
One of the things that I really appreciated about this MMO was the
option to automatically travel to the location of your next quest.
Many times, I've started an MMO and tried to do the beginning
quests, only to wonder where on earth some NPC
or place is.  In this game, if you don't remember where Caption Kev is, all you have to do is press the spiffy little "Go" button next to the quest
step, and your character is making a beeline to him.
Things seemed to be looking up for Eden Eternal.  Especially since
I was growing rather attached to my lovely avatar.  But soon after
reaching level 6, I had a quest to go in another mine, stepped in,
and died.  Huh.  I decided that was a good time to call it a night.
I'm still undecided as to whether or not I'll play it again.
From my (albeit very limited) experiences, I'd rate this a 6.75/10.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

TIBIA

This 1997 MMO, described on its Wiki page as "one of the oldest MMORPGs and was considered most noteworthy in its early years".  Wow.  I didn't even have an internet connection back in 1997, much less play MMOs.  However, my friend had been mentioning this game in increasing frequency as of late, so I figured that I should at least give it a try.

I was actually found the graphics to be not bad, maybe a 2-D version of minecraft?  As a tweaker on Maple Story, 3-D graphics are not important, and in some ways, more desirable in a game, since it doesn't make me dizzy.

Alone = PWNED
This is more like it  >3
After doing a series of beginner quests in Rookgaard, aka "n00b island," things seemed to be going well enough, though I was a bit frustrated with my character's slowness and was forcibly reminded of the early parts of Pokemon, when you don't have Running Shoes or a Bike.  Also, ladders going up were a bit tricky.   But other than that, nothing terribly difficult.

Then came Mission 9: Rock 'n Troll.  No matter what, I just couldn't do it.  After dying (and failing) about 3-4 times (and de-leveling once), I was going to try one last time, then... Ah!  Perhaps I'm supposed to go through that spider web.  Oh, none of my tools/weapons are working.  Hmm.  Ah!  Someone else is here.  "Hold on, my friend knows how to get through here."

And so started that fateful encounter.  After talking with him, Madmuffinz helped redirect me to my true destination and actually stuck around a floor up and killed the lingering trolls in the area, then gave me a 100 gold and gave me an equip.  Then his friend Madcupcakez came, and both of them told me a bunch of useful information about playing, as well as helpful tips and warnings.  Even though I was just going to turn tail and go back to town, they invited me to go Orc hunting, protected and helped me, introduced me to some party fighting strategy, and gave me even more helpful gameplay tips along the way as well as a few of new equips <3.  And thanks to their tip, I don't need to buy torches anymore.  YAAAY~  And for the first time in this game, I felt like I was really enjoying myself.  I suppose the "Multiplayer" M in "MMO" is there for a reason.  xD

We ended up owning all the trolls and orcs in the cave, not to mention a couple of Minotaurs and a
<---- bear!  Not only did I not die (or de-level), I got good company, lots of EXP, gold, and equips!  All the best elements of a good MMO experience.
In all, I was able to make it back to town in almost perfect health and fill up my coffers a considerable amount.

Thanks to two outstandingly friendly people, I was able to have renewed hope for this game, but we'll see how things go when I have to visit the graveyard...   To be continued~!
