★★★★★★★★★★★★★ CRAFTING STUFF ★★★★★★★
On Friday, my 3 resin molds that I ordered from BlueTomatoes' Etsy shop came in, and it came with a freebie since the order total was more than $10. That brings my mold collection total up to 7. YAY!~
Now, if only my plastic measuring spoons would decide to show up. Where are they now? Just chilling in San Francisco, it seems. For a WEEK.
Best deal on plastic measuring spoons... if you ever get them! |

Now, to some seasoned MMO players, playing 3 MMOs in 2 days may not seem much. But for me, who is only playing her 6th or 7th (depends if you consider Gaia's zOMG to be one) MMO, it was quite an experience. What other MMOs have I played/dabbled in? Rose Online, Maple Story, Fantasy Earth Zero, Runescape, zOMG, and now Tibia and Eden Eternal. Of all of these, I've only played Maple Story and zOMG for longer than a few months.
OMFG, I MUST LEVEL UP! *w* |

On Friday, I played Eden Eternal for the first time. I was only doing so at the behest of my sister, who saw a trailer for it and wanted to ride the alpacas. I scoffed at this, yet when the patcher (which took a very long time to finish) popped up, my eye was drawn to (read: mesmerized) the ultra cute alpacas on the left. OMFG fkdsjfljfda. If I ever get a cute
alpaca plushie like that, I think that I may die of happiness. I would
have liked to say "my life would be complete," but there's so many
other things that I need before I can even begin to say that. Haha.
option to automatically travel to the location of your next quest.
Many times, I've started an MMO and tried to do the beginning
quests, only to wonder where on earth some NPC
or place is. In this game, if you don't remember where Caption Kev is, all you have to do is press the spiffy little "Go" button next to the quest
step, and your character is making a beeline to him.
Things seemed to be looking up for Eden Eternal. Especially since
I was growing rather attached to my lovely avatar. But soon after
reaching level 6, I had a quest to go in another mine, stepped in,
and died. Huh. I decided that was a good time to call it a night.
I'm still undecided as to whether or not I'll play it again.
From my (albeit very limited) experiences, I'd rate this a 6.75/10.

TIBIA
This 1997 MMO, described on its Wiki page as "one of the oldest MMORPGs and was considered most noteworthy in its early years". Wow. I didn't even have an internet connection back in 1997, much less play MMOs. However, my friend had been mentioning this game in increasing frequency as of late, so I figured that I should at least give it a try.
I was actually found the graphics to be not bad, maybe a 2-D version of minecraft? As a tweaker on Maple Story, 3-D graphics are not important, and in some ways, more desirable in a game, since it doesn't make me dizzy.
Alone = PWNED |
This is more like it >3 |
Then came Mission 9: Rock 'n Troll. No matter what, I just couldn't do it. After dying (and failing) about 3-4 times (and de-leveling once), I was going to try one last time, then... Ah! Perhaps I'm supposed to go through that spider web. Oh, none of my tools/weapons are working. Hmm. Ah! Someone else is here. "Hold on, my friend knows how to get through here."
And so started that fateful encounter. After talking with him, Madmuffinz helped redirect me to my true destination and actually stuck around a floor up and killed the lingering trolls in the area, then gave me a 100 gold and gave me an equip. Then his friend Madcupcakez came, and both of them told me a bunch of useful information about playing, as well as helpful tips and warnings. Even though I was just going to turn tail and go back to town, they invited me to go Orc hunting, protected and helped me, introduced me to some party fighting strategy, and gave me even more helpful gameplay tips along the way as well as a few of new equips <3. And thanks to their tip, I don't need to buy torches anymore. YAAAY~ And for the first time in this game, I felt like I was really enjoying myself. I suppose the "Multiplayer" M in "MMO" is there for a reason. xD
We ended up owning all the trolls and orcs in the cave, not to mention a couple of Minotaurs and a
<---- bear! Not only did I not die (or de-level), I got good company, lots of EXP, gold, and equips! All the best elements of a good MMO experience.
In all, I was able to make it back to town in almost perfect health and fill up my coffers a considerable amount.
Thanks to two outstandingly friendly people, I was able to have renewed hope for this game, but we'll see how things go when I have to visit the graveyard... To be continued~!
