So.  Anyone who pays even the slightest bit of attention to my posts on Facebook would be able to tell that I've been addicted to Pinterest.  My boards (especially my DIY and Craft inspiration boards) have grown exponentially since I've joined.  I can't answer texts from even my beloved boyfriend until I've finished scrolling to the bottom of a category (unless the iPod app crashes).  We truly are in the age of DIY and crowdsource sharing!  I love sites like Pinterest because the best of the internet is all in one place, in a visual form that I can skim through, and there's always new things to see! That's how I discovered Brit + Co.

Speaking of nifty blogs, my friend recently showed me a charming one, The Burlap Bag, which inspired me to give my lone avocado seed in my windowsill some friends!  Now I have a very charming lineup, and I change their water every other day.  Here is the progress, the green onions and carrot flourished overnight (though, to be fair, the carrot was already sort of growing when I took it out of the bag)!  I was stunned!

SO!  A while back, I announced a holiday greeting card trade, and one of awesome my college pals, aaznpnaigurl, signed up, and I got two huge surprises when I got both a really unique envelope card that I had to cut around the edges to open, then a stunning portrait of me done by her!  It's my new favorite picture on my bulletin board, thank youuuuu~!!!!  <3 <3

I awoke to find a very large box that came in the mail.
One of the best ways to start the day ever.  

Do you know how much I loveeeeeeeeeeee getting things in the mail?  Especially packages??  Especially HUGE boxes??  Especially huge boxes of AWESOME???  ESPECIALLY HUGE BOXES OF AWESOME THAT HAVE A SLOWPOKE AND A CHRISTMAS CARD?!?! * 3 * 

srsly.  I was even entertained by the newspaper and shopping bags that
was used to pack my slowpoke and card in!!  >w<  (we don't have
those stores here, ok?  >///>  ok.  and maayybbee I'm too easily amused.
but I love reading papers from other states! )

I don't normally show my face on my blog, but just this once, I'll make a really rare exception.
Getting a Slowpoke plushie to cuddle with has been one of my dreams, and I finally have one thanks to the hard work of random-kitty15.  She makes some pretty awesome stuff (you should see the detail on her amigurumi Articuno!!, is super duper sweet, and absolutely I love her to bits!!!  <3
