Happy Valentine's Day 2012

Hope all of you had a Happy Valentine's Day~

My Valentine's day excitement was spread out over the last two days, here are the highlights:

-Operation Chocolates a sort of success?  My first batch of chocolate almond bark (with peanut or shredded coconut) to my 4 awesome penpals

-On the 13th, I got a surprise valentine's package in the mail from my awesome penpal, Fly~!!
EEEEEEEE~~!!  PANDA <3 <3  (she got my surprise chocolate in the mail just before I did, so we ended up posting these pics on facebook around time!  >w< )

-Not really Valentine's day related, but got my personalized Gaia cash card (that I paid $1.99 for) in the mail the on the same day~

-Valentine's Day on Gaia:  Got an anonymous Valentine, started a thread to thank them, then got flooded with Valentine PMs for the rest of the day~!  Got a total of 43+  ~THANKS GAIA, I totally feel the love.  >w<

My favorite one?  MY VERY OWN SONG, sung by the Gaian, Just Coffee (identity recently revealed)

-Got a surprise red card envelope in the mail, got a super sweet Valentine's day card from my good high school friend, Sarah~  <3  

-Had a dinner of my dad's famous bacon-wrapped shrimp with wild rice, cauliflower, and cherry cheesecake for dessert~

-After dessert, randomly started working on my recycled angel wing hoodie project, got a really good condition Gap hoodie, sewed my own wings, then attached them. Voila~!

- </3 :  Backed up files on iTouch and restored it to factory settings to have it taken in to the Apple store (hopefully) tomorrow.  :,(  Me and that iTouch have been through so much in the short time that we've been together (since my birthday last year).  ; ~ ;

Woo hoo.  Today, I randomly picked an episode of How It's Made and learned how balloons, wallpaper, frozen french fries, and incandescent light bulbs are made.  What a random assortment of things, haha.
Watching the processes of the various production lines was fascinating, though, especially when watching all the small and delicate glass and wiring being shaped and soldered so quickly and precisely.  

Did you know that balloons began being mass-produced in the 1930s?

WOO HOO!  It finally feels vaguely like winter/spring!

Let's see... I've been super busy since my last post, and was even in the mood for a bit of cooking!  And for some reason, I've really been into making French toast this week, I made it 3 times so far.  I also tried my hand and candy-making.... but more on that in a future post.  

One afternoon, I randomly just started cooking a batch of yakisoba and rolled egg, then reheated some karaage chicken to go with it

Netflix App

Recently, my sister decided to try out the Netflix streaming subscription, so I downloaded the Netflix app on my iTouch.  There's a disappointingly small variety of things that you can watch, but I enjoyed being able to start off my morning watching a National Geographic special on oceans, then a TLC special on the top bakeries, and most recently, a Wallace and Gromit movie.  xD

I keep on forgetting how detailed these claymation movies are x3

I noticed that I watched two bakery-related things that morning.  xD

Next, I'm going to watch Breakfast at Tiffany's, woooo.

Wow.  I am amazingly tired.  The last 2 days have been a blur, and while it's nice to be getting things done and being a lot more productive, I think that I want to crash on a beach soon...

Looks like it'll be a busy busy weekend, though... if I don't totally burn myself out and crash.  xD
